By David LeongCNN article A tennis player who won the $50 million American Open championship and won the Miami Beach Open has gotten a $20,000 bonus.
The money will go to the players who helped the women’s and men’s teams qualify for the Rio Olympics.
The winner of the tournament, American tennis star Andy Murray, also got a $25,000 scholarship for his college tennis team.
Murray, who was born in California and has played professionally in the United States since 2004, won the tournament in New Jersey.
He finished fourth and has been on the podium in five of the last six tournaments.
He was also runner-up at the men’s tournament and earned the $25 million prize.
