The Omaha World Herald is reporting that Nebraska women volleyball has beaten Stonybrook in the indoor volleyball courts at the Stony Broads home opener.
The Huskers won the match by two goals.
The Huskers have already played in the men’s volleyball tournament and are tied for the No. 1 seed in the NCAA Division III tournament with No. 9 Florida.
Stony Brown won the men and women singles matches.
The NCAA Division I Men’s Championship is held at the Rose Bowl in Pasadena, California.
Nebraska is also tied for second in the Big Ten Conference with three wins.
The team is coming off a 23-17 victory over Boston College.
The team will play against No. 5 seed Florida State on Saturday.
Nebraska will then host No. 2 seed Maryland on Saturday and will host No 4 seed Northwestern on Saturday, before hosting No. 7 seed Iowa on Monday.
The game will air on ESPNU at 8 p.m. and ESPN3 at 9 p.p.m., and the Huskers are expected to be in the top three in the nation.
